You don't like the master, I refund your money. Note, that for a CD, you must approve it song by song so I do not spend time mastering the entire CD only to find it was time wasted since it was not up to your expectations.

Although, I would recommend against it, I will also Master your songs by stems. While this technique can introduce some noise (overall THD), it can work well for some particularly troublesome mixes.  Mastering by stems charges will be $3 per stem (typically four: Drums, Bass, Mid, Treble OR Drums, Bass, Treble, Vocals).

You must have a paypal account. I will send you a bill via email. Once it is paid, I'll begin mastering.  If you want a refund, I'll email a paypal transaction back to you.

I'd prefer to receive tracks mixed to -6dB but I can work with others. When I receive the track(s) to master, let me know if you prefer a Loud or a Dynamic master.  There maybe cases (severe clipping, a lot of noise, etc) where I find that the tracks are not going to sound very good and need remixing. In such cases, I'll describe the details and you can decide if you want to remix or go ahead. If you choose to proceed, I'll not refund money.  The reason I choose not refund in this case is because the mastering will probably make the defects more obvious.

Turn around time: I will give you a rough estimate once I hear the track. Although it does not usually take more than a few hours to do a master, I typically will burn a CD of the track and play it on some different systems so that it behaves as I expect it to behave. Typically, I prefer to wait several hours between sessions to let my ears cool off.  The other factor affecting turnaround is where you fall in the queue. I work on a first in, first out basis. This means you cannot wait until the last minute.

If you have any special requirements, let me know up front. That way we can discuss the details (via email) in advance and I'll let you know if there will be any additional charges. Typically not, but just in case....

I will provide mastered tracks back in the same format I receive them. For a CD master, I will provide 16-bit 44100 Hz tracks back ( or the equivalent ISO image).  If you want more than one format back, I'll let you know what the additional charge will be.  There may be some formats I cannot provide but I will let you know as soon as I figure out I cannot provide it.  I believe my software will handle just about anything.  I can Zip or Rar files.

You can choose to give me mastering credit or not.  On completion and acceptance of a master, I will destroy all copies (including test burns onto CD) of your songs.  Once accepted, you will get charged again for any additional work requested on the track.  For instance, if I master 10 songs and then later they come back to me as a CD for mastering, I bill you for a CD.

CD Mastering can be returned as individual tracks or as an ISO image or both.

Transmission of files back and forth may require that you open up a sendspace.com account, which I believe we can use for free. If I have to set up a paid account some place (by your request) to transfer the files, I will bill you in advance.

Note that this document is subject to change, so refer to the online version for the latest details.  This offer is also subject to discontinuation at any time in the event I find the ordeal too overwhelming.
