You may already be familiar with the Higher Than Pope blog at http://www.soundclick.com/higherthanpope and are aware that I presume to write poetry. I have sent the poems off to a trusted editorial board, letting them select what shall be included. I will in the very near future also send a manuscript of lyrics for review and possible inclusion (their idea). Preparation will no doubt take awhile (judging by the time it took for my last book).
My thinking right now is to make only a paperback available and keep the cost down. If you are interested in a hard cover, let me know. I'll see if it becomes practical.
If you want to hear about the book's availability, sign up on the Higher Than Pope mailing list (see below). My intent is to allow folk to order copies direct from me if they would like me to write a note and sign their copies. Those copies will be available prior to public sale. Don't worry about lots of emails on the mailing list...I seldom use it (once or twice during the last year?) I like your music. I just must say that I think your song "new beast" is some kind of masterpiece. I like the raw attitude in your sound.
Higher Than Pope's interpretation and rendition of variations on Mahler's most affirmative and joyous work, the Symphony No. 4 in G Major, are loving, at times even doting, in fact, and not without tickling humor. In Gustav's Guitars, Higher Than Pope strums their way, improvising sometimes via syncopating dance rhythms, sometimes via jazzy overtones, but always holding true to Mahler's subtle but infectious affection. The composer's titles for the movements describe the original work's engaging, easy-listening character: "Deliberately. Do not hurry." "In easy motion, without haste." "Peacefully." "Very leisurely." From the bell-like chords that set the first movement into motion to the sweet radiance of the symphony's conclusion, these lilting variations, performed with warmth and dexterity, give a contemporary setting and beguiling intimacy to a beloved classic.

Higher Than Pope
well for me it`s something really inspiring - i like conceptual music
without words , but speaking - it`s getting you back into ancient
times(when composers were create symphonies
by using libretto only)... and songs sound great too.. whatsover that
project is more than modern and consist with sounds from different
tech(live and electronic) and it`s very energetical stuff - i don`t know
somehow it reminds me CCCP, DM, Rollings stones(early ones), Pink Floyd,
Alan Parsons and Jean Michel Jane projects at the same time..and even
Zappa and me for a little bit:
